Victor Ian

Photography taken by Dave Jaranilla

Returning from the dead, I present to you Victor Ian. An alter ego I created that was inspired by the 1900's. I have been meaning to share a look that included the paisley blazer I had thrifted. The pattern in particular inspired this look. I wanted to portray a dark Victorian feel, which sort of reminded me of vampires. (haha)
For the rest of the outfit I kept the color and details minimal. I wanted the focus to solely be on the blazer because of its rich detail and vibrance. Underneath, I am wearing a simple white button up. I accessorized with a vintage string tie that kept the look reminiscent of the time period. The bottoms are black fitted dress pants and shoes are vintage black dress shoes.

Busy B

Hello readers! I apologize for the lack of posts lately, or none for that matter. (haha) But, I am working on a new look post as we speak! For a little update, finals are finally over! Yes, I graduated! Now that school is out of the way, my talent agency has been sending me on a lot of auditions lately. My family also flew down for the ceremony, and some of them I haven't seen in years. I have been doing my best to spend every moment with them that I can while they are in town. I have been quite the busy bee! At this hour, there is way too much energy flowing as I type. I am just so excited for my new life to begin and to start sharing it with you guys again. Stay with me!

Knitted Coral

For the summer season it might not seem appropriate to post a knit sweater. However, when the sun sets in Cali, the day can get chilly. I experienced that exact situation today, especially by the beach! It's always nice to have a summer layer that will keep you warm when all fails. Besides, this sweater is so rad I had to share. I got this sweater at a flea market a while back, but by the color alone I imagined it suitable for a summer outfit worn by the beach. The sweater's color remind me of a coral reef. In contrast to the light knitted tones of gray are the perfect summer colors of coral and pastel.

Colorwave

Photography taken by Dave Jaranilla

Hot darn! The sun has been blazing in California lately, and I am not complaining. I am absolutely ready for summer! With this heat wave, it is time to bring out the summer brights. The vibrant colors can vary from accents of shirts, shoes, bottoms, and accessories. To make my point, I chose to combine more than one for this outfit. (haha)
My shirt is from my collection of vintage graphic tees that I had posted recently. They are perfect for summer wear, and quite relevant since they were probably souvenirs from a summer vacation. My sunglasses are wayfarers that I had found at school. They were free giveaways, and I guess no one was bold enough to rock them. For bottoms, I chose to wear a light washed denim skinnies shorts to balance out the saturation of color. I wanted to keep it funky by wearing my 'American' Vans that I had purchased on Black Friday 2011 from Urban Outfitters. I hope y'all like my take on the modern greaser with the new haircut! Until the next one.

Paise Blaze

This paisley blazer was a bold buy, but such a stellar find. It also happened to be 50% off all menswear that day. What a steal, right? I don't see how someone could of let this piece of clothing go to waste. The print totally reminds me of the 1800's because paisley was a popular pattern during that time period. The velvet material also elevates the royalness it possesses. I know exactly what type of look I want to portray for this outfit, and I can't wait to share! Keep on, readers.
